The UCLA National Dance/Media Fellowship Program provides training
opportunities for professionals to investigate innovative ways to
consider the relationship of dance and media, new approaches to dance
documentation, issues of concern regarding the preservation of dance,
and the creation of dance for video/film.

Each year the program admits eight Fellows, six professionals and two
UCLA graduate students, who demonstrate a record of excellence and
productivity, and have a commitment to continuing work in dance/media.
The Fellows will be engaged in seminars, work with guest
speakers/teachers, and develop and produce video projects throughout the
residency. The ten-week, full-time program will take place between
January and March, 2000. Each professional Fellow will be provided with
travel expenses and a stipend of $5,000. Graduate Student Fellows will
receive 12-16 units of credit.

Applications may be obtained by calling the UCLA Center for
Intercultural Performance (310-267-0160) or by sending email to Ming Ng
(ming@arts.ucla.edu). THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IS MAY 1,
1999.
