TRANS/FORMS
is a multimedia internet performance which will be presented live on the
web on Friday 26 February 1999, 2200GMT,
http://monsterbit.com/live.html/. The piece is based on movement, sound
and digital video improvisations produced in three different places of
the world: Tempe, (Arizona, USA), London and Turku (Finland) and will be
mixed live on the web.

The live event performed by dancer Sophia Lycouris, musician Viv Dogan
Corringham and multimedia artist Nate Pagel will take place in Arizona
as part of International Dance and Technology 1999 (IDAT99). British
musicians including saxophinist Lol Coxhill, Michael Kosmides
(theremins) and Knut Aufermann (glove with contact mics and electronics)
will be playing live from the London Musiciansâ Collective studios in
London and their sounds transmitted through ISDN line will be reaching
the live performance in Arizona to be re-mixed by multimedia artist Nate
Pagel. Finnish choreographer Satu Tuittila has created a video dance
about Finnish winter landscape which will be mixed with images from a
live camera recording the event and projected in the performance space.
